    The Magic Of Childhood

(I am sitting on the couch next to some socks that I had been sorting the night before, when our 2 year old walks up to me. She points at a pair of socks.)

    Daughter: “Mummy?”

Me: “Yes, those are mummy’s socks.”

(She points at a lone sock sitting next to the pair.)

    Daughter: “Daddy?”

Me: “Yes, that is daddy’s sock.”

(She grabs the sock then proceeds to run into the hallway, yelling.)

    Daughter: “Daddy, daddy!”

(I follow and hear my husband.)

Husband: “Yes, that is daddy’s sock. Thank you for giving it to me.”

(She continues on and my husband and I look at each other.)

Me: “Master has given Daddy a sock.”

Husband: *without missing a beat* “Daddy is free!”
